Senior Clouds Solutions Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team to lead the migration of business applications from legacy infrastructure to a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-native architecture, containers, microservices, and cloud orchestration. This position is responsible for architecting, engineering, and executing the migration of an existing application farm to the cloud while strategizing cloud architecture and scalable solutions.
Role Description:
The ideal candidate will need to perform the following principal duties:
• Participate in the design and architectural decisions for business applications to be deployed in a cloud environment;
• Work closely with customers, transfer knowledge and propose architectural solutions designed for successful deployment in the cloud;
• Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following the principles cloud architecture frameworks;
• Work with the operations teams to implement system changes;
• Implement, manage, and support technical processes for deployment of infrastructure, automation of deployment and operations, and related practices;
• Document all components of the infrastructure, document changes and follow change control management procedures;
• Ensure all cloud infrastructure and application architecture designs are in compliance with security policies and standards;
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies based on detailed business requirements provided by business teams;
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
Required Experience
• Total experience of 12-15 years, with 5+ years in consulting/design/implementation of scaled, distributed cloud applications
• 4+ years of Cloud Native experience working with Containers/Microservices/Kubernetes etc
• Proven Cloud architecting experience for at least 3 organisations, including re-architecting applications for cloud migration
• Migration of applications into a scaled, distributed/hybrid cloud
• Experience with at least one cloud orchestration tool such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience architecting and designing cloud-native applications leveraging PaaS and/or serverless FaaS
• The ideal candidate should be from an application background (developer in the early years)
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• AWS Solution Architect Certification; Associate or Professional.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud providers and virtualized infrastructure
• Expertise in container orchestration tools like OpenShift, Kubernetes etc.
• Hands-on experience in DevOps toolchain - Jira/GitHub/Jenkins/Liquibase or equivalent
• Experience in infrastructure automation tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible
• Excellent document production skills - design documents, architecture diagrams
